The new multi-media extravaganza that is The Paul Henry Show debuted on TV3 at 6am on Monday 6 April. While there are no available measures for the success or otherwise of the show on radio, its TV ratings are showing promise.

The show averaged 0.8 tarps in its first week, a jump over the 0.4 of its predecessor, Firstline, in the week prior. In subsequent weeks the audience levels saw a minor decline, but were still ahead of the previous year.
Meanwhile, TVOne’s Breakfast (formerly hosted by Henry) has been down on audience for most of this year – even before the start of The Paul Henry Show.
The audience levels for both shows are trending up as winter approaches, but the MediaWorks management will still be hoping for more from The Paul Henry Show – especially considering the considerable marketing investment behind its launch.
